The blue ringed octopus poisons its prey with neurotoxin's (which affects its prey's brain nervous system paralysing its prey)
They can camouflage with its surrounding. The scientific name of the blue ringed octopus is Hapalochlaena.
Hi Feleti,
ReplyDeleteI am impressed with the number of scientific terms you have used in your post! The blue-ringed octopus sounds pretty toxic. Are there any other marine animals that have neurotoxins that we humans should be worried about?
Hi Mrs Kingston,
DeleteI just wanted to say that there are actually more marine animals with neurotoxins like the box jelly fish which Ezekiel wrote about.
WOW FELETI,
ReplyDeleteI never knew that about the blue ringed octopus, this is such a great word cloud it is awesome.
I wonder what else you could find out about the blue ringed octopus, hey do you think that a blue ringed octopus would attack his/her own species?
Well I just can't stop thinking about the blue ringed octopus.
